Good, simple ingredients done well make for a fantastic meal. Whole, unprocessed foods are the cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet, which celebrates seasonal vegetables, local ingredients, and freshness. Eating with the seasons means enjoying food at its peak. When your ingredients shine, you don’t need to do much—just know how to bring out their best.
Italian food is beautifully simple. It’s a great starting point in the kitchen, built on foolproof, adaptable techniques and balanced, uncomplicated flavors. It’s not about calorie counting—it’s about harmony on the plate.
More than that, it’s about fully enjoying food, feeling good, and celebrating the connection it brings. This is the dolce vita—food at the heart of life. It’s a celebration of the season, of the moment, and of coming together. We’re here to share what we know best about Italian cooking: how to create magic with confidence, creativity, and joy.

The company strongly recommends guests purchase travel insurance to cover injuries, cancellations and delays due to unforeseen circumstances, or those beyond all control. Guests agree both the company and any local partner operators are not liable for any of such unforeseen circumstances, and hold both parties harmless. All claims to reimbursements for insurance must go directly through the insurance provider, and not through Pizza Moon Rising.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically fit and able to participate in the tours. You must disclose any relevant health issues or dietary restrictions prior to the tour. Pizza Moon Rising is not responsible for any health issues that arise during the tour.

We offer tours primarily in Rome and Tuscany.
Based in Rome, we focus on gems off-the-beaten-path, giving guests an authentic taste of the Eternal City. We dive into local food, culture, and history so you can discover what real Roman cuisine is all about. We tailor experiences to your needs, including dietary requirements.
In Tuscany, we provide longer, immersive, private tours—ranging from half a day to three days—centered around two main areas:
1.Chianti Countryside – Think rolling hills, historic towns, wine tastings, cheese-making, olive oil production, and incredible food. We’ve got all the local connections, as this is my Tuscan husband Simone’s birthplace.
2.The Etruscan Coast – This lesser-known, stunning stretch of Tuscany along the sea is full of ancient Etruscan history, seaside villages, and rich culinary traditions. We explore both inland and coastal spots, featuring bold Bolgheri wines and top-notch olive oil production.
